Arsenal‘s £50m defender Ben White has revealed in an interview with Sky Sports that his name is actually Benjamin – shock, horror! – and, to the surprise of many a Gunner on social media, that he never saw Patrick Vieira play.
Why? Well, because he didn’t watch football as a kid and still doesn’t watch it now. And, you know what, more power to him for having the guts to be up front about it.
But White is not the first high-profile professional or former professional footballer to admit that he doesn’t really care for the sport other than when he’s playing it.
